This week is National Child and Adult Care Food Program Week! The CACFP program provides funding to places like family shelters, schools and other institutions where low-income children are served.
For Next Move, CACFP helps us to offset all costs associated with purchasing, preparing and serving quality meals to families residing at the Family Shelter. CACFP requires strict adherence to high food and safety standards, nutritious meal preparation, what kinds of foods are funded by the program and how much should be served based on age.
