Angela Continues to Work Towards Her Goals

We are excited to share more of Angela’s story as she progresses towards her education goals! Angela is a single mother of two and has been a participant in our Step Up Sacramento Permanent Supportive Housing Program for almost two years. Along the way, she has worked towards healing from previous traumas and navigating adversities in life.

With the support of Next Move and her therapist, Angela decided to go back to school last August to major in Human Services.  She has enjoyed her time in class, studying, and making new acquaintances. Angela says the time she spends studying has been a positive influence on her children.

Recently, Angela’s Case Manager assisted her with learning to use technology to complete her assignments. As she continued to practice, Angela was eventually able to complete the work on her own – “I did it!”

Even the smallest successes in life can sometimes feel enormous. Congratulations Angela, we wish you continued success with achieving your goals!
