Year End Giving

Thanks to you, over 25,000 men, women and children received services, had a hot meal and/or a warm place to stay this year.

amandaWe recently helped Amanda*, a single mother of three children, move into a new apartment.  She lived with her children at our shelter for 7 weeks. During that time she was able to get her children back into school, find a job, and save up for her first month’s rent.  Without your help, Amanda and her children would still be out on the street. Today, they are safe, warm and self-sufficient.

Every day, your support makes stories like Amanda’s possible.

As the basic act of obtaining a home becomes more difficult, the cry for action echoes louder than ever before. Next Move has several programs that address these needs:

Wilma’s Place – In partnership with WEAVE, provides shelter for victims of domestic violence.

Francis House – Provides support services including job training, bus passes, California IDs, temporary shelter, a supervised playroom, eyeglasses, hygiene kits and more.

Casa de Esperanza, Omega & Home At Last – Provides permanent supportive housing for families, seniors and veterans.

Family Shelter – Provides warm meals and a safe, stable environment for families to look for employment and housing.

The issues of hunger and homelessness cannot be fully understood or addressed in one week. Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week is just the start of what Next Move can do year-round with your help! Our goal is to bring 100 more people, like Amanda, in from the cold this winter.

Would you be willing to make a special year-end donation of $50, $100 or whatever you can afford to help us meet our goal and bring 100 more people in from the cold?

We simply can’t do it without you. Your support will make a real, lasting impact in the lives of those who are still in need. Our partner, Goodwill Sacramento Valley & Northern Nevada will match all year-end gifts, so your donation will be doubled!

Please make your donation now with the secure form below.

The lives of hundreds of others like Amanda are at stake. Thank you for your continued support and friendship.
